How do I ID my engine

I own a 90 accord ex 4dr 5sp. I had the engine replaced shortly after I purchased it. I have noticed in the forum that users will offer up certain engine numbers or ID's where can I find that on my car and what does it mean?

You mean the engine code like f22a4 f22a1 f22b1 h22a blah blah blah? It is usually imprinted on the left side of ur header near the plug to access the timing mark on ur flywheel. It should be like a flat 2"x2" surface facing directly towards u. Sometimes it will be dirty so u gotta clean it if u wanna see it. 90 accord EX should have an f22a4 as the base engine.
