Ok.. here is a thinker.. I need help on ok
I recently picked up a dodge stealth 91 r/t and there was a bad engine in it well i called a local shop an they sold me a 97 mitsu engine and told me it was the same as the 91 engine.. " had to retro fit certain things"
Well I had installed the engine which was pretty easy I had it all ready to go cranked it over it started.. but sounded really rough it was back fireing alot We got it 2 run smoother and we pulled it straight out of the garage because i didnt fill up the power steering fluid.. well it died we started it back up it took a few cranks but it went then i was going to take it for a test drive get the oil circulating because the engine was sitting for quite some time as I could tell well i turned the steering " was fluid in it" and then a loud noise come out of nowhere an the car died i tried starting it and it was whinning the car was turnin over 2 easy i noticed the belts where moving but i had no compression i would like to know if that has to do with the Timing belt because the car was never runnin right it was still back firing the car will not start now the starter is workin i can hear it but there is no compression when i try turning it over I hope someone can help me resolve this matter thanks!!!!

No... lol it didnt sound like a metal 2 metal sound it pretty much was running rough like it was out of time.. and it was runnin at about 1.5k RPM and then i put into drive it lowered to about .4k rpm an was on the virge of diein so i let off the break an hit the gas a little bit and then turn the wheel to line up soon as I moved the steering wheel like a loud sound came out and then the car wouldnt kick over.. but i was told the timing belt could of been knocked off a few teeth because my motor depends on the timeing belft for compression/Valves/pistons
