Starting new kit this week, need suggestions..

I am gonna start building that 1/16 Fujimi Koenig Countach this week.

opinions on color??? red or white??

also for painting the parts, brush or air brush???

do you guys have opinions on what detailing paints are better enamel vs acrylic??

and the money question.

Does automotive spary paint work for bodies, or will it attack the plastic??

I would go red myself. I would airbrush everything in this scale. Paint choice is whatever works for you. Automotive spray will craze styrene so a primer is necc. read the tutorial section. There are several sites around that go into this into detail. I will look for a few links and post them here. Mike

Personally, I like either a red Countach with a black leather interior (like in the movie, "Speed Zone") or white with tan or red interior. I have a poster on the wall here of a white Koenig Countach with a tan interior and it looks real sharp.

As for the automotive paint, I've had good luck so far, just test it on some leftover srue/tree or part you aren't going to use.

Those are some mad sweet finishes on those models....i think i might try his technique, i have shot 1:1 cars before with laquer. My uncle does it for a living.

Really? I just painted 3 white cars in a row, no BIG problems. Now BLACK is HARD!!!

It depends on what you are looking for., for me, I expect lights are not passing through the body when I hold it under a light bulk. And, I don't want to have a "china" feel (too thick)on the body, that means, the number of layers have to be controlled so well that it is adequate. That's why I said white is the most difficult and it shows skills.
