this is a header I got in for my 6th gen 4cyl EX Vtec accord....There is not a place to put my primary o2 sensor, but there is one for the secondary one near the cat..... I called the guy and he says that he has sold tons of these to accord ownerslike myself and there are no complaints. Is there a way around this o2 sensor problem that I don't know about or what?

Thanks yall.

so ur car has 2 o2 senors? If there is 2 bungs then i say just relocate it by splicing the wires... extending it with xtra wires and crimp it back to the o2 senor.

By they way let me kno how the ebay header goes. I kept hearing stories that they crack and the chrome cracks and so forth so let me know how well they perform cuz i wanna get some too.

I got hedman chikara headers off a valid website for my 90 accord and had problems 2. The holes didn't line up with the exhaust gaskets. I had to use the original gaskets and had to get them cut to make the ports match up. It was a bitch, managed to break my old O2 sensor trying to get it off the original header. Then the gaskets leaked...both of them...after a few weeks. so i needed to replace them both with copper gaskets. I called a local honda mechanic and he said that he had similar problems with 3 or 4 accords with those chikara headers. My point...even if you go with a reputible brand name, you can still have valid complaints. It's a good idea to ask around first for others' prior experiences with certain brands. Good luck

it's a common problem to have with that kind of thing. I've had problems such as this with major name brands all the time...

but, to answer your question, I believe what you're saying is you have 2 O2 sensors (OBDII car) and only one bung. There are two quick solutions, one is to get a bung installed at a local exhaust shop, which won't cost much. Another is to install a "simulator" (do a search on the net for an o2 simulator based on a 555 timer for a cheap method) on the second O2 sensor.

One idea brought up some time ago was to wire the 2nd sensors wires into the 1st, and then use a small value resistor to make the 2nd sensor read slightly differently than the first, and therefore trick the computer.

Maybe you follow this, if you have any more questions, let me know.
