getting fuel out of tank

Hey I was just wondering if any body knows how to pump the gas out of a 91 Talon Tank. I have the main fuel line disconnected from the fuel rail although when i try to cycle the key nothing happens. Is there an easy way of getting the gas out of it? I tried syphoning it but can't get a line down there.

there is a drain plug on the bottom of the tank on the driver side
