Okay, for those of you old enough, have you ever gotten "the" phone call???
You know, the drunken 2am phone call from the ex-lover who suddenly has the urge to tell you how much he misses you and how much he loves you???
The only night in the last week that I didn't get a call from the ex was New Years Eve!!!! And not even all the calls are drunken, either. Now he's trying to "bug" me, but not "bother" me... WHATEVER!!
GRRRRRRRRRRR! :angryfire

I love caller ID, it's the greatest invention since sliced bread.

You don't want him back, tangie? and something tells me you don't *wink* well then, tell him politely that it was nice to hear from him but you're asleep/partying hard/out with friends/in the middle of dinner/WHATEVER as long as it looks like you are having fun without him :D
And if you can't be bothered talking to him at all.....go the caller ID, as Miss Cowboy has already mentioned :) and ignore the bastard.

I have to agree there. Don't you hate getting annoying phone calls from people you don't want to speak to.
If it gets to that stage, I would tell my friends to always turn their caller ID when calling you, and when someone calls without caller ID either reject, or just answer, but don't say anything, and you can always hang up when you hear the other person's voice.

Problem is that he calls my cell phone, and most of the time I'm driving when I answer, so I don't get much of a chance to check the number out...
I kinda blew him off last night when he called, and he said something about how "if you don't like me calling, then I'll never call again. Just remember that you were the one who said that we shouldn't grow apart..." Which, granted, I did say that I still wanted to stay good friends, but some of my closest, most dear friends only talk with me once a week, if even that!!!
I don't want to not answer b/c he just keeps calling back. And if he gets my voicemail, he will leave this pitiful sounding message that sounds like someone just ran over his puppy! :(
If he calls tonight, I'll just tell him not to call me again for a while. Oh, and thanks for listening! :)

Isn’t it funny how they don’t realise what they’re missing until it’s too late.
I had an annoying ex boyfriend who treated me like crap and I split up him because of it. That seemed to suit him just fine until I started going out with someone else and he found about it. Needless to say “THE” phone call happened. Begging and carrying on wanting me to take him back. grrrrrrrr!!!!

The last guy I dated before meeting Alex was a complete @$$hole and a half. It lasted for about a month at most but the way things were going....this guy was a wife-beater in the making. Anyway, I got my "call" when Alex and I started dating. This being 6 months after I completely cut him out of my life. His lame message on my voicemail said he had been in a car accident and wanted me to call him and discuss potentially meeting up with an attorney at the office I work for. The last line in his message said "Please call me by 9:30 tomorrow morning to discuss this matter." I laffed my ass off. A few days later Alex happened to pass him on the road on his way home. He knew what that guy looked like but he didn't know what Alex looked like. So Alex rolled down his window and yelled at him "Hey Jeff!" When he looked over he then said "Yo Jeff, next time you see this face your gonna die!" THen Alex chased him around for a couple of miles and taunting him at every stop light. Needless to say NO ex's have called since :D
