1999 Fan/AC Relay fs

I have a fan A/C relay for a 1999 (A3) Jetta that I bought thinking it would take care 2 problems (radiator fan not coming on/AC clutch not engaging) Turns out the problem was really low freon, so I don't need the relay after all, and the parts place won't let me return it (it was a special order). The VW parts number is 3A0 919 506. It is the VW replacement for part number 357 919 506. It will probably work on other years, but I'm not sure which ones. I paid $160, will take $100 obo.
