hmm try look at the lines of the car more, the proportion and it looks like u started the car w/ basic shapes and arches, which is good but u shouldnt rely on them to be the outline of the car... you should just use them as guidelines to stay inside there so your proportion stays constant... try focus on some of that... then when u got that down, try to shade it... which is one of the hardest parts cause u dont have a refrence pic

oh yes, and try to draw w/ a pen... though at first it may seem imposible, when u draw w/ a pen, you cant make any mistakes, and after a while you get used to the basic lines needed to draw a car... i found out that if u use a penicle, you become dependent on your eraser, and it doesnt help you much, so practice w/ a pen, an then when you get better use a pencil and shade it... hope it helps u

i think its very easy to shade a car w/a reference pic... soo,... its not like that for everyone...

i said it is very hard to shade a car WITHOUT a reference pic... since it is a concept car, obviously there arent going to be any refrence pics unless your copying another concept car

Work on depth perception, oblique, angles, basically practice on more oblique drawings with reference before designing.

I should have put this in my other post.
Its not that hard to shade without reference. Just highlight the edges, accent the contours. The hard part would be to reflect an environment, other than that its easy.

If you know what you are doing I would imagine it would be easier to shade without the reference pic just because you could use as much or as little shading as you wanted.

yes but with a reference pic you know where the light is coming from and where or where not to shade it... when you use a reference picture u dont always have to copy excatly what is only the picter... sometimes people just use it to get right lighting on their car, not all the reflections, but when you dont have a reference picture, you have to know about lighting, think where its coming from, and then know how it would reflect on the car... that is all im saying

yeah shading isn't that hard.... also if you could find a car with a similar shape you could try shading off of that.... ohh btw rim change... front end adjustment and shading would make that pretty awesome..
