Tach lead on '89 Regal 2.8

Hey all - quick question ... with project "Boosted Regal" almost through the planning stages, it's time to start wrenching. So its time to install a tachometer for the soon-to-be high-performance granny-car. But where? I'm assuming its the white wire on the DIS system. Is this right? Also, will any standard Pep-Boys tach work? The help is much appreciated.
