Sorry if theres another thread about this. But I was just @ the LA Auto Show. So there was a Yellow Lancer EVO VII there on display. Couldnt touch it.. let alone sit in it. But right above it was the nice big words January 2003. So I guess that just confirms what everyone on this board knows. Of course I asked the sales rep about it, he goes 30K with probably a 5K markup, and about 260 hp. Which again is no big news, but for all you LA / So.Cal people, check out the LA Auto show if you wanna see one in person. The Show itself is pretty nice... the new Lambo, 350Z (very nice), and the usual mix of cars, Ferraris, Maseratis...

Everyone and I do mean EVERYONE I've talked to has said UNDER 30k.
Luckily I got to a dealer a while ago, so I've got a receipt saying they have to sell it to me for MSRP.....no mark-up.
If I was ya'll....I'd go out ASAP and find a dealer that'll do MSRP.
Good luck....

I f there gonna bring the STI over for Subaru, then the price will probably match that...competitors and there price scandals...ther is nothing import wise, that hols a candle to the evo right now in the states.
If and when they bring the sti over, its gonna be a bidding war. Right now the wrx, fully loaded, is going for $24,500.00 or close in my market. So the Sti, not knowing enough about it will range a little higher, and Mitsubishi will want to keep the market from shifting to Subaru, so they will offeer it competivally.
