Hi, my name is Jon. I am a relatively new VW owner (2003 Golf TDI), but put big miles on it every day (200-300). I have owned or driven just about every make of North American and most makes of Japanese car, and have found them all wanting in some way. I have purchased 3 new cars in the past 3 years, and have recently become a convert to tdi's. I have no technical expertise, but pick up little nuggets here and there from the numerous lifetime VW owners where I work. It's like some sort of masonic club or something...

I'm suppose I'll take more than I give in terms of auto knowledge, but I appreciate the resource immensely. Forums like this one always contribute to my car-related decisions.
