I have never encountered a supra yet. From the stories, specs and hype about Supras I take it thier pretty fucking bad ass. So what should i expect from a supra. Will i kill it from a stop? Will I beat it from a roll? Will i beat it in top speed? And keep in mind stock set up.

Is the supra basically an overall BETTER car?

yup the supra is a better car. The only place you may get the supra would be at a roll. ut as soon as they hit 2nd there gone.

what does your car run? i know a supra pulls a 0-60 in about 4.9 and a low to mid 13 in the 1/4 i dont where it tops out exactly probobally around 170

supra's are faster than us in every aspect exept arguably the 1/4. though a mag ran a supra at 13.1 most run them at 13.5 wich is what we run. on a roll say goodbuy cause he's gone. but in a street race you might win, try one, i've yet to really race a supra, i kinda raced one but it doesn't realy count he got off too soon and we were even, but this is while i was modded, he had exhaust and thats all from what i could tell.

Yea on the internet they say the VR4 can do 0-60 in 5 flat. But when i first got my car back in april of 2003 and installed a turbo timer and that was it. I practice on my launch and it rang in at 4.7 sec 0-60. So it depends how hard you wanna push it but i believe the net and most VR4''s can proably do it in about 5 flat.

if the vr4 weren't so heavy it'd be a different story. the price you pay for AWD.

It would be DAMN close thru the 1/4 but the supra would take off after that.

Supras are not that fast stock. People just read too much Super Street magazines and see them having 900 horsepower and think that's stock. No. Although they can be made into monsters, they are not that bad in stock form. Especially considering how expensive they are...

Yea they are pretty expensive. And i thought the VR4 was expensive. Guess i'll just have to see. But i wouldnt underestimate the supra though. Toyota makes some good engines. I've heard the supra could hook up pretty good of the line. But that's one area i have cofidence in is the take off. I should be able to take it off the line.

Actually it is off the line where the supra struggles, they have never been good at launching. However do not race supras from a roll, they pull very hard in roll-ons. The 2jz-gte is an incredible engine, probably one of the most over-specced engines I have ever seen, many people are still running over 750hp with stock internals. And the aftermarket for them is almost as vast as a 350 chevy. Supras are alot like 5.0 Mustangs, never know what they can do until you race them.

i am still young only 17 actually and i have owned 2 cars and 5.0 mustang and my stealth. i miss that 5.0 but that is besides the point. the 3000gt is putting out around 320 hp if above 1993 and the supra is putting out if turbocharged about the exact same. main difference is the weight. that is where the supra has a 3kgt

i think a stock VR-4 can take a Supra. . .

btw supra is about 600 pounds less than the VR4. . .

lets just say this both cars are extremely sweet cars and most people would do almost anything to have either one they are both very nice and fast cars
