Ok, i won't get nasty, but i will defend my thoughts on the matter.. First off, who really uses an STi to its potential? no one! and taking off ramps at 150 is rice! your the kind of kid we read about in the paper and you make sport compacts look bad.. i'm not all about straight line performance myself, but unless your autocrossing then your not using the car for anything else then clowning around like a gook in a rally race trying to kill people.. As for the deep hatred for domestics thats just plain ignorant.. especially comming from a subaru owner.. how is a 4 door, AWD, Boxy grociery getter better looking than a sexy Cobra or Vette? Yea and you gotta love that turbo lag from the tiny little turbo the sti sports.pfff... Get real, the sti is a nice car but its far from being the best car.. so take your head out of your butt and face reality! your not a rally champion!!! And no one like rally racing in america!
"Dave", I'm going to be nice about this, simply because it is a PERSONAL CHOICE, your car, is YOUR car. People bring pride to themselves with their own car, or they should. When I get my STi I'll be very pleased. I hardly concider the STi a "grociery getter" which I refer to as a soccer mom car. (Vans, H2 Hummers, Expeditions, SUVs, things of the sort). I think the beef most people have, or at least down here in FL have with the domestic cars, is their driver's attitudes, not to say that (we) are any better about it. Its a hormonal thing (I think thats how you spell it, lol). Oh, also I want you to know that I fully intend on keeping my car looking like an STi, CF Hood w/ scoop, TMI, no body kit, some cusco coil overs, few engine mods, throw my cat in the trash, and Ill be set. Forgot the strut bars. I also intend on using my car strictly in autocross/track rally. I believe this is what they were built for, so why not use the tool for the application, no? Just dont come in an import forum and expect flowery poems about "Sexy Vettes." Thas all I have to say...

Quick Technical question:
I was looking at the STi's engine bay, and paying attention to the front sway bar...I am eventually going to put Turbo-XS's TMI in meh subie, what about room for the bar, it appears that the TMI is in the way, I may be wrong, etc.
Halp?

DaveShapellSVT,
If all you're going to do is come in here to insult Subaru's and their owner's, I suggest you go back to the Mustang forums from whence you came.
We do not come into your forums telling you why a Subaru is better than the Mustang so there is no reason for you to behave as you have.
You obviously have a preference for Mustangs and find them attractive, surely you would be better spending time with fellow Mustang lovers than in here behaving like a juvenile on a car induced ego trip?
The Mustang has its merits, as does the STI, unless you can understand and respect a car based on its merits, you'll never be a true 'car person'.
Either way, without any more being said, unless you can be constructive and debate without insulting Subaru's and their owners, go away.
Thank you.
