I would also like to know what the vin numbers and letters mean on my 96. Does anyone know where to find out.

I'm guessing you are asking where to find out what rear end gear ratio a gm truck has. Try this link, http://gm-trucks.com/RPO_index.shtml
and match the RPO code to the list found in your glove box.
