I think an exposed flat head would look cool.

hey cadguy thanks for the reply. so far no one has told me to get the hell out of a/f. yes i am surprised. its good to build something that everyone else is not building.

Yeah , a nial head would be correct for the genre and something a bit different for a model, great choice.

The AMT '69 Riviera has one I believe. I also have the '62 buick Electra kit if you want the engine out of it (I trashed the body). You can PM me if interested:)
