gauge cluster

The mileage and the clock on the dash always stay on. Even after shutting the car off and getting out. I also think that this is what has been draining my battery. Any ideas??????

What year, engine & instrument package (tach & dig clock or tach & MFI trip computer)?

if you have an mk4, no, that doesn't drain your battery. those do that on all jettas. those lcd readouts take verrrry little power to run.

its a 94 2.0 and it says vdo electronic on the instrument panel. there is a clock in the tachometer, and an odometer in the speedometer.
