4th gen console in 3rd gen?

I've seen pictures of a 3rd gen firebird with a 4th gen console. Is this difficult to do? I want a fourth gen console for my 91' bird.......Does anyone know how or know of any sites that would have help or instructions for this? thanks.

Go to www.thirdgen.org and do a search on the message boards there. Several guys on that site have converted to 4th gen dashes, so if you search you should find usefull info.

i just ordered a manual 4th gen console and it should be here tomorrow, i got it from trans am creations. most people go with the manual ones because they dont require as much work to put in. auto ones will fit, but you have to move the shifter over to have it aligned correctly
