my dad has been driving a 91 crx si for a long time and ive wanted it for a while, so were trading cars. what i wanted to know was what engine would be best to put in the crx. if you can tell me a few different engines that would be good, that would be great. I was thinking of maybe getting an ls than get a vtec conversion

jump in the 4th gen fourms hit search you'll learn a ton pros and cons of each power out put and drivers views of there swaps. best bang for buck is b16a imo

For you a first gen B16A is not the cheapest, but it is the best for the cost. The DOHC ZCs fit in with no mount kit, but the power is a little shy. My 90 rex has a 1.6 DOHC D16Z5 and it hauled ass, but my B16A rex kicked it ass.
