I would like to introduce myself...

I would like to say hello to everyone that was here before me and after me. My real name is Bassel, I live in Sunrise Florida, and I'm 24 years old. My current car is a 1989 Nissan 240sx. I have fitted it with a 1996 RB25DET engine. Most of you know what it is, but for those of you that dont, it is a Dual Overhead Cam Inline 6 Turbo engine that was plucked from a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-t. Yes, I did the entire swap myself and grew quite a few grey hairs doing it. But I must admit in the end it was well worth it. If anyone has any questions about the swap, please feel free to ask me. I dont mind helping out fellow Nissan enthusiasts. Also if you need for me to source out the engine or any other Nissan engine, again, feel free to ask. And if you live in my area or in my state and need help to install your engine I'd be more than happy to lend a helping hand. I would even like to meet up with some of you Nissan guys and gals to hang out and swap stories. Where'd you get your engine/tranny/etc? How much? Did you use different engine mounts (from unstable or something) to make it sit in the engine bay right?

I want a ride in your car! I want to experience this RB25 everyone raves about so much hehe. I live up in northern palm beach county, sorta east of Moroso dragstrip if you know where that is. some weeks they have little car gatherings up here in parking lots but it usually just brings out the ricers and pigs.

Mr brother has a cool 94 Impala SS we ride around in sometimes lookin for touble =)

we are also starting to get footage together for a car DVD, if you ever want to burn some times or do some high speed cruises for the camera let me know, we could probably use some footage of a turbo 240. So far we have gotten some stuff of foolin around in the Impala at high speeds and burning up the tires. We are also editing in some misc. funny stuff that happens for interludes on the DVD, girls, local events like drag races, stereo stuff, motorcycles, car shows, Spring Break in Daytona, got some footage at BikeWeek in Daytona, probably film some scenery and cruising down in Miami and south beach as well.

We are going to try to make a 2 hour DVD and sell them around for 10 bucks or less. If anyone of you guys are interested in purchasing something like this let us know, so we can get an idea on how many to intially make and sell to people we know and people we talk to on the forums. Im sure it will feature a killer soundtrack with some kickin songs and non stop action and laughs.

did you ever take it to the track? that must move really well. i heard they run a 12.7 but i really didn't believe it...

If any of you need JDM clips (RB20DET, RB25DET, SR20DET, CA18DET etc. etc. ) HIT ME UP! I work for an importer, and we can deffinately get you what you need. My boss has done the RB25DET - 240SX swap too, and RB26DETT - 1994 convertable, and the list goes on and on :D. Peace fella's

wassup everyone i'm back...here are all of my replies in the order that questions were asked: stealthj-thanx for the info and that is a tight R32 post some more tight pics if you have them: driftking777-thanx for welcoming me and yes the wiring i would say was definately the hardest part but i found wiring diagrams and ecu pinouts so if anyone needs that info for the swap just let me know and i'll send 'em: J_Spec_Nitemare- I got my engine from a friend of mine that travels to japan himself and buys the engines out of junkyards over there and ships them back on containers so if you need anything just let me know and we'll set something up, and I got everything for 3200 and what i got was the engine, tranny, full wiring harness, ecu, R33 subframe with mounts, R33 fuel pump, R33 front and rear brake calipers with pads and rotors, i also got an Apex'i Hybrid front mount intercooler, all metal piping, Blitz blowoff valve, and a GReddy Airinx Filter...yes all of that for 3200 and i used the R33 subframe to mount the motor (obviously) and i had to custom fabricate a bracket for the tranny mount and a bracket for the throttle cable: SR20DETpower- let me know the next time you come down to the Fort Lauderdale area and i'll meet up with you and take you for a ride and you can film my car for your dvd: mynismo-i havent taken it to the track yet but i beat a corvette z-06 by about half a car all the way up to about 150-160 and then he let off so i guess you can have a vague idea of how fast my car is and i still need to dyno tune it and i dont have a boost or fuel controller yet so i'm pretty much running stock at 8-9 p.s.i.: Zoso- thanx for the info but i already have my motor and you and SR20DETpower need to take a chill and stop picking on eachother: xviciousx- whatever??: 240-kid- you got the inside done now lets work on what's under that hood if you need help on parts or install just let me know i'll see what i can work out- and that should be everything for now so just hit me back up if you have anymore questions

hey how much hp does the RB25DET have stock??? I know the RB26DETT has around 350hp from what experts say, but the jspec sheet says it's around 290 hp. And RB25DET has around 250hp from I last heard???

RB25DET is at 260hp. RB26DETT... Its tough to say. Jap specs have stated that it has only 276 so it could meet JP road use. But I personally think were talking more 300+hp. I personally like the RB20DET better... Just me. But anyways, i'll email you soon J Spec Nitemare with more info, im kinda busy with inquires at the moment (i'll email you before the night is out) i'll get you some prices, pictures, info, etc. If you buy, my boss would be more than happy to assist you in information for the swap, or hell... If you live close enough, drive it out here and he'll do it for you (at extra cost of course... Not much though) Peace man

You work for Cam, right? Iv'e heard some horror stories about him and night7racing...And this one thread where some guy proved his Skyline selling is technically illegal, and someone banned him... I'd feel better about driving out to Phoenix cause my friend lives out there.
