The front end of my 93 escort seems loose. I have replaced the outer tie rod ends but not much help. The struts are fine. Does this car have inner tie rod ends? If so how are they replaced? Thanks

Well, there is a light clunk sound from the front end over bumps and when I lift the front end and shake the front wheels. My main concern is if it could be the steering rack or if their are tie rod ends (inner)

The only tie rod ends are thsoe that connect at the hub. If you haven't done so already, make sure that your wheels are tightened properly, then take some time for a lube job.
If that simple stuff doesn't resolve your problem, you are looking at either struts or maybe the stabilizer bar.
Unless the steering feels abnormal you shouldn't have to mess with that at all.
Being a '93 it most likely is the suspension, but may as well rule out the easy stuff first.
