Torque boxes

I'm just curious what problems you guys have had with your torque boxes and how you may have fixed them. Mine were in really bad shape from years of drag racing. I had a friend who was a good welder do some patch work but that just prolonged the enevitable. I finally had to take a serious look at how to fix this problem once and for all. I ended up getting a kit from SSM. Not sure if they still make it but I would assume so. It is a complete replacement deal, not a patch kit. It has thick wall plate and square tubing welded into a assembly that completely replaces the existing boxes. They took a considerable amount of work to install but they are bullet proof. Now I need to do something with the upper mounts.

I have never run into too much trouble with the torque boxes cause I have never had rotted ones. I never made too many passes on DR's or Slicks in any of my cars. Everyone I know who has issue just gets Battle Boxes.
