bye bye accord....

getting rid of my accord, i was thinking of buying a 89 or 90 CRX. the first thing i would probably do is a swap, but i don't know much about CRX swaps. its going to be a daily drive and i plan to go n/a, any swap ideas?(plus how much work is involved in each swap) i've just been looking at the h22 forever, so i don't know much about the other motors. bye bye accord.....

If you have your mind set on the b16a, which would probably be the easiest swap. then make sure that you buy a 1st gen b16a from a respectable company. To save time and possible money i would buy a complete swap. The reason you should buy a 1st gen motor is to keep from having a wiring nightmare and so you wont have to worry about how to get that hydralic tranny to work. I bought my JDM B16A from inlinefour.com they sent me a really clean motor, although they do cost a little more. :2cents:

would you consider that a complete swap? i've also heard that you'll need a Throttle Cable Bracket, Front Steering Knuckles from a CRX Si, and 90-93 Integra Axles, is that all true?

if you have an HF your gonna need those front suspension parts. if you want an extremely easy swap go with any d-series swap or a ZC. you wont need new mounts or wiring harnesses. as for the b16, its a better base to start with, you'll need the full changeover though, as it comes with the ecu, axels, and wire harness.

any b-series will be just about the same, only differences would be to wiring. H22 is not an easy swap at all, alot of modification needs to be done in order for that motor to drop.

i was going to buy a crx in the first place, but the accord kind of fell in my lap........1800 lbs sounds pretty good after having a 3000+ lb accord
