I'm back! Project S2k

Well after quite a while away I am finally able to post again. I finally broke down and purchased my own Digi cam!! This is one of the projects on my table now but it is slow going as it is still pretty cold meaning I can't spray paint! brush paint just leaves too much texture and I want this interior (and off course the body) to be smooth. The few warm days we have had lately went unused as i was working  . The project started out as a clean S2k build but then I pulled the wheels out of my castrol NSX kit and DAMN! I knew they had to go, the body kit is coming together as I go. Yet another aspect I intented to keep "subtle" oh well you know how I am, I CAN'T leave it stock no matter how hard I try.
I am going to eventually paint it imola orange like the factory NSX comes with, other than that I am not quite sure how this will turn out.

I actually have not completed that many, just started more :iceslolan
I will post the Revell HB tonight that I finished, other projects include 2 porsches (1 hardtop and 1 convertible) a mini cooper, another hasagawa HB and of course the S2k. All are very far progressed I just have not posted anything on them yet.

I know nothing about the custom car contest but who knows?? once I look into it maybe I will enter. :lol2:

Well I guess it is official, this will be my custom contest entry! I have not competed in an AF contest before so this will be interesting because I was only planning on making this S2k subtle and not so "involved" but now that it's in the contest I feel like I have to go all out. especially after seeing "FOTWs" Silvia project he is working on

I still have some work to do to smooth out the fender flares, I want them as smooth as possible as far as flowing with the lines of the car.

Here you can see how much the fenders are flared, enough but not too much.

I dont mean to knock on you at all, but I do notice some orange peel in the pictures. I cant tell if its paint or lighting/surroundings.

it's ok, it's only the first coat of paint and it did not even gey scratched since I was soo careful. I still need to clear coat it and get rid of any left over orange peel. and still have to apply the CF, so plenty left to do.

Ahhh! I was wondering if anybody would pickup on that?? The Amuse S2k was actually my inspiration for this kit, though I went a little more extreme with fitting the NSX wheels and such. I really love how it is turning out, even better than the Amuse version that inspired me.
