97 LS keyless entry transmitter

Yes I know this has been covered a couple of hundred times, but I didn't get any FOB's for keyless entry. So i'm trying to decide if the car has it, where would I find the transmitter?

I saw one thread that the radio actually does this, but I think that was on a 2000. Would it be the same on the 97? Is that what the theftlock is all about?
