I just purchased a cap for my system. And i was wondering if anyone has the CORRECT way to pre charge them. Also I am wondering if i run extra lights( for under the car and interior) If it is a good idea to get another cap for this? Or another battery? The alt is already at it's max for output, I believe it is up around 140+, I have no dimming problems!
Any help on this would be great.
Thank you
Peter

if you have no dimming problems then why did you get a cap? You bought a bandaid when you don't even have a cut.

to charge it have the negative side already hooked up - then attach a 1k ohm resistor to end of the power wire and touch the other end of the resistor to the positive cap post for a few seconds. Then you can attach the power to it without it arcing.
