The dealer wanted around $250 to fix my right side mirror, on my 98 Grand Caravan, that wouldn't stay fixed in position. But I fixed it...score one for the little guy. If anyone has this problem where the power adjuster on the inside works but the spring that holds the mirror in position is loose so it folds against the car (i've had it twice) it was pretty easy to fix. Unscrew the screw on the bottom with a torx driver. Unsnap the power cord (flip up the tab). Now to take the guts out...Take out the two screws visible...and now the tricky part...the mirror is held in with 4 tabs...pry the mirror towards the top of the assembly. Don't just pry straight out or you will break some of the tabs (like me). There is one more screw to remove after taking out the mirror. Then slide the entire guts out through the mirror hole. Now the spring and holding cap are visible and can easily be pushed back into place. good luck
