Here's a few pics of my car I took awhile back....
I dont like wheels anymore. I'll get new ones some day. As you can see my car is "winter equipped" with a Thule roof rack to hold the snowboards on the weekend drives to the slopes. It'll come off in the spring.

RCer, yep! too bad you have my dope headlights! they looked way better. I may order some again when I have money, but I'm saving all my money now for the turbo.
Thanks for the comments ;)
Too bad the sun was casting some weird light on the Greddy Evo, but I think everyone can get a good idea of what it looks like.

I'm actually going to put this car back to stock. Trade it in for a 2002 w/ sport package. Put the turbo in that i'm researching/piecing together. Then I'll put the Impul kit on. (I still have it, the deal was never completed)

Thanks guys.
The wheels are OK. I got them back when I wasnt into the whole tuning thing. Now that I want to make my car wicked fast I obviously want more of a tuner wheel and also lighter.
Once I go turbo though, I know I'll want a set of drag wheels and slicks for the strip. So that may delay new "street" wheels for a long time
One problem though. I was thinking of putting on a big brake kit to bring the turbocharged ride to a nice halt. I dunno if the drag wheels would fit over the 13" Brembos. :(

Damn your car looks good. But I would have to agree with you that the rims are OK but not great. Its also great to hear that you still have the Impul kit. Once you get that on and get your G20 turbo charged maybe we will see you on the cover of Import Tuner or Super Street. Keep up the good work.

Those are very nice wheels. But yeah, not for tuning. You lucky bastard...:finger: you get to go snowboarding. I'm in Tex so all I can do is skateboard. Ain't even been snowboarding and I don't skateboard. Do your 18" tires rub at all when you turn or anything? The car is phat. And one more question, why would you trade for a 2002 w/ sports pkg. Do you not have a 5spd or something?
b-b00gie
01-17-2002, 02:54 PM
Sticker: someone made for me. Maybe we'll make a run of them one day...
18's: dont rub when I turn, but if I hit a HUGE dip they will rub a bit on the top of the arch. It's mainly because I chose to run an oversized tire (lots of potholes around here) If the tires werent oversized I would not have that problem.
The reason I want to trade is because I want black interior. I dont care if its solid black or the black/grey like the sport package has. I'm also kinda tired of my color, but white w/ black is on my list...

Brian, what tyre sizes are those? 215/40/18? or 215/35/18? It looks like a 215/35/18 to me. Tire Rack recommends tire size for the 18x7 rim is 215/40/18. I hope they are right cuz this is what I am hoping to get.

I have 18x7" +42mm offset on 225/40/18 which is too big.
I originally had 215/35/18 which looked like rubber bands. I ended up ruining 2 wheels when I blew out the tires.
Not pretty. $500 a wheel (3pc wheels) plus new tires. I decided to get larger tires. I really didnt want to go through this again so I got 225/40/18's.
The best fit for 18's is 225/35/18. That tire size is the closest in diameter to the stock P11 tires. 215/40/18 is pretty close too...
When the time comes to get new tires I will go w/ 225/35/18's or 215/40/18.

Its a Thule rack (pronounced too-lee). www.thule.com I think you can order the parts directly from them.
The basic rack system consists of:
bars: part # LB50 $45
foot pack: part # 400 $119
fit kit: part # 2001 $45
So thats $210
Then you can put any carrier on it you want (skis, snowboards, bikes, canoe, etc...) I have two carriers on there:
2 snowboard carrier which is part # 575 $90 (the one I have on the drivers side)
flat top 6pr ski or 4 snowboard carrier which is part # 725 $99 (on passenger side)
I also have the optional fairing (wind deflector) it helps cut down the noise a lot. Part # 555 $50
So in total I've spent a lot on the rack. About $450, but it gets a lot of use during the winter and a few friends pitched in some money since I'm lugging their stuff around. ;)
You could skip the 2 snowboard carrier and get the rest for $350.

Forgot to mention you will need a lock kit so no one can steal the stuff off your roof.
I have the 8 lock kit which is about $50? Cant remember.
You need 4 locks for the rack itself, and then the carrriers I have require 2 locks each. If you skip the 2 snowboard carrier and only get the flat top carrier (for skiis or boards) you will only need the 6 lock kit.
