AC clutch?

I have a 99' chevy cavalier. I'm getting a screeching sound coming from my hood. Mechanic said it is the rubbing from the ac compressor and the clutch needs to be replaced. Any idea how much this will cost?

you can probably get one from a junk yard for like 30 dollars. it is a quick swap. do it yourself or 1 hour of labors charge from a shop. i would say do it yourself. if you have a socket set and a wrench set, its simminlar to changing an alternator.
