VR-4 Tune-Ups

Is anyone doing their own VR-4 tune-ups?

I don't want to have to get another degree to do this unless absolutely necessary!

you have to remove the intake manifold in order to get to the back spark plugs, thats the irritating part.

I plan on doing my own tune up to save some cash...what's your question?

I appreciate the info. And you're correct...John has a nice site; very informative. Thank YOU again!

I would like to also be able to check / measure the ignition timing but unless I mount, at least temporarily, a timing wheel or mark of some sort-opposite the crank gaer mark-to check with a timing light...otherwise I'm not sure how to accomplish this task. Service manuals I've been able to obtain indicate checking the "basic" timing and then the "normal" timing??

I'll keep looking around... =:o)-
