Front bumper

After having browsed these threads, it only convinces me that this vehicle is plagued with problems. I purchased my 2003 Trailblazer new two years ago, and right after I bought it, I noticed that when I reached speeds of about 65 mph on the freeway, I would hear this snapping sound. I brought it in twice and asked the dealership to find out what it is, only to be told they cannot find a problem. Just last week, I noticed my front bumper was loose. I brought it in again, and was told that this is from some sort of an accident - I have no marks and no dents and have not been in any accidents. But, nonetheless, I was told that it will be my responsbility to fix, because what they say is that there are two rivets that hold the bumper in place and where one of the rivets used to be, the body has a tear in it. This is what they based their decision on. I mentioned the fact that they should have on record the complaints about the snapping noise and that it would seem logical that this rivet was loose, and while driving, because of it being loose, that it would start to tear and continue to loosen until the rivet finally fell out? Response from the dealer, "um, no. It's physical damage, therefore, your responsibility." Is there anyone else out there who's had a problem like this one with their Trailblazer? What are my options?

I've seen issues with the front bumper being wavy at the grill.
I had mine hit in a parking lot and you could hardly see the damage. If it wasn't for the bumper pads being discolored I wouldn't have noticed. Very little damage on the outside but was his hard enough to bend the reinforcement bar inside. The whole assembly had to be replaced.
When I got it back I had the wavy thing going. Complained to the repair dept. and the "reheated" to get it to relax back into proper shape. Haven't had a problem with it since.
IMO, just about every TB I've come across seems like the front bumper is loose. I'd continue to complain to your dealer about this. If this is your regular dealer that you have purchased from in the past they should stand up for you.
