I bought a greddy full auto turbo timer, but the manual came in japanes or something similar, I understand that I have to plug the harness behind the key, but also have to instala 1 cable to the speed sensor on the computer, I don't have idea of where is the computer and wich cable I have to cut and join. :banghead:
Thanks in advance.
P.S. I bought the harnes for my tsi awd so I guess that this will be a plug & play.

I put the turbo timer today and looks great, but... I thought that the idea of a turbo timer was to keep the motor running with the key out. But when I finish with the instalation and I tried to test if it works like that I notice that if i take out the key the car turns off, if anyone have an idea of what could be wrong... :dunno: cause I have no idea. check everythin and all the connections are right I bouth the harness so it's soppouse to be a plug and play.
It's pretty deficult tu find the SPEED SENSOR CABLE but i find it and works great.
If anybody have a better idea i will cut the harness (12v cable) & i will conect it directly to the batery.

http://www.scuderiaciriani.com/rx7/Greddy_turbo_timer_manual.html if you hooked up the parking brake feature make sure the baking brake is on, if not the car will kill.

I did everithin like said in the manual, but i'm not sure may be I don't understand something when they explain to me how it works.
I thought that the turbo timer keeps the car runnin until the turbo goes down (turbo rpm) with the key out, like: "i get home, park the car take out the key and the car still runnin until is cold"
Thats what I understand, may be i'm wrong.

The turbo spinning or engine getting cold has nothing to do with a turbo timer. The point of running a car after hard runs is to cycle the oil through the turbo lines so that it doesn't foul them up.
The turbo spins because of exhaust gasses. At idle, it will spin the same rate.. and won't slow down no matter how long it idles.
The 'engine' is a constant temperature while running unless it isn't to operating temperature yet. Idling the car doesn't cool down anything except the coolant.

Thanks JoeWagon i already know that but I couldn't explain my self like that cause my english is not that well, but thanks anyways.
And I already did all the setups the that moder f****r still not working like i'll like to. It's like if when I took out the key I leave the turbo timer without energy. Sorry about my explanations but like I said before my english is not good enough

I know nothing about turbo timer wiring but here goes:
Your key (ignition) is cutting off power to the turbo timer. You need to give the turbo timer power even when the key is off... so hook it up to a constant 12v power source, instead of a switched source.

so when you take the key out the turbo timer shuts off, that means you have the constant power hooked up wrong. You have to hook it to a 12v constant. Run it straight to the battery
