Is there anyone out there who's actually tore their Camry completely down and rebuilt it? (Just a curious question.) I'm actually contemplating whether or not to tear mine down to the frame and rebuilding it the way I want, with what I want. I'm going to post a poll and you guys can vote on it...

So, anyone have reasons as to why they wouldn't even contemplate tearing their Camrys down and rebuilding them? I'd say my main reason would be to rebuild it completely custom, just to make it a little more interesting.

If I was to tear down a vehicle totally for customization, I would start with one with better potential, say a '57 Chevy or older 'vette.

I am not really interested in a Camry for anything other than transportation.

my camry is my only car. plus being a student i dont have the time nor the money to tear it down and rebuild it. i did it back in high school with my crx. starts off fun, then gets annoying. i would much rather do that to an older simpler car. my choice would be a 55 belair. mmmmm baby blue with a white top and camel color leather interior.

I agree with going and tearing down an older car. But I was just doing this to see what everyone else's opinion was on the fact. I'd much rather work with older cars than newer ones, that's a hands-down. But everyone's done all that before. I was just thinking how it would be kinda interesting to say that you've done something that not very many have even thought of attempting.

I just tore down a 93 camry.. all the way down.. but it had been T-boned .. was doing it for parts for my 94.. they aren that hard to take apart.. If I had the money and nothing better to spend it on.. I would consider dismantling my 94 XLE and rebuilding it the way I wanted.. it will never happen though.

Well, that's what I was talking about in this thread. I was meaning if you didn't have anything else to spend thousands of dollars on. I would really want to if I had the time and everything. I always thought it would have been something interesting to try.
