I have a 1995 Maxima GXE with 146,000 miles. I've been good to this car, changing the oil every 3K miles, etc. No major problems, though
I've had to have the engine light turned off numerous times due to
the oxygen sensors being too sensitive.

How long should I realistically expect the car to last, before I begin
to have major problems ?

i've got about 90k on you in my 89, so if you take care of it, youre 95 will probably last atleast another 7 years

95 is not old...I have a 85 with over 300K and drive it every day to work.......biggest problem is the Rack and Pinion leaking...lastest is a bad MAF...
but overall it is a great car!!!

I've got 2 87's one with over 300K on first engine and 200K on second engine. Just purchased the
other one a few weeks ago with 141K and all
components working. Great Car! Anyone know where to find parts for older maxima's.

Try changing the temperature sensor in the car, if that doesnt work just change the damn O2 sensor and keep driving
