97 Altima GLE Keyless Entry / Alarm

I recently bought a 97 Altima GLE, that is equiped with a factory alarm system. The keyless remote for it has only 2 buttons, where all of the replacement remotes I have seen have 3 or more buttons.

Does the FCC ID # have to match in order to program one? I picked one up on eBay, but the # is different than the original remote, and it has 3 buttons (one for remote trunk... which my Altima does not have). I can't get it to program. I searched this forum, and none of the proceedures worked. I also followed the instructions in the manual, which didn't work.

Does anyone know of an alternate source for the 2 button remotes, other than eBay or a dealer?
