I haven't posted in here in a while but it seems like I may be getting a 240SX real soon, as my car has once again died on me.
I have decided that if I do get a 240SX that I want to turbo the KA as opposed to swapping in an SR20 due to warranty and insurance reasons.
I will probably put together my own kit to save some money over buying a Greddy or fmax etc. kit. However I am concerned on the reliability of turbocharging the KA... Are there any reliability issues with a KA-T, and should I consider rebuilding the motor before turbocharging it? It will be a 95+ so we could assume it's going to have upwards of 60k miles on it. Lastly, anyone know of any sites I can just buy an extra KA24DE for fairly cheap? 240SX's are REALLY rare around here, I have never seen a S14 in a junk yard here at all. If I left any details out let me know.

you can find a ka24de from the year 91-98. It is just that the 91-94 it is in a s13 chassis where the 95-98 is a s14 chassis. I would check ebay or you can try out car-parts.com maybe you can find one cheap around you. good luck

one from my first project car now totalled , was planing on de-t but i live in north dakota now and its in oklahoma the other one is with me is my current daily driver just figured i would sell one if i could the one that is with me is currently tore apart (the car not engine) getting built from the ground up
