Just bought 2002 LS1!!!!!!!

Sorry for pointless post, but I'm mad excited, I've had a deposit on it for over two weeks now, and it came today (Tuesday). My '96 RS is sold and will be gone in a week or so. No disrespect to the v6's, they are superb for what they are, but it just wasn't cuttin it anymore, and now I'm in the v8 club!

It's a dark metalic blue camaro 6spd, looks black in the dark... it came with an MTI lid/box, K&N, and aftermarket MAF sensor, w/ 48% more flow supposedly according ot the box. I want to put a Borla on it ASAP.

Even though gas is really high right now it will be worth every penny. Cause if your like me in the sense of that I love driving my 95 Z around you want even mind pumping that high dollar regular unleaded gas in. And also I have a bad habit of only putting $10 in at a time cause I hate pumping gas and at $1.59 a gallon that will only get around 155 miles on the tripometer.

Well, I modded up my '96 RS fairly before I sold it... CAI, Exhaust, Strut bar, wires, plugs, LSD w/ 3.42s, rear disc breaks, front signals clear w/ xenon bulbs, neons inside at feet.
I am going to miss it very much, I have a lot of good memories attatched to that car. What else you guys think I should do, future wishes include Headers, Cam job.

Well, not many people know about them, but these things called "Blowers" can be a big HP increase, you should look into one. :D

Let me just say, You are a lucky bastard. Congrats on the new car man, that sounds like one hell of a ride you got there. Yes you have a lot of good memories in the V6 but I'm sure the V8 will be just as much if not more fun. Enjoy but be safe............. Lucky bastard :p

I live in the lower part of texas beside louisiana and you can still get gas for 1.49 to 1.59 depending on where you look. In the small town I live in it's 1.59. But thats for the regular unleaded. The premium grade is a whopping 1.71 a gallon.

anyone here live in cali? i heard that gas was up to over 2 bucks for premium over there. thats insane, it would almost make me get a 4-banger, almost.

hmmm. i live in canaan, ct, and the regular unleaded in my town is $1.83/gallon. super premium is $2.03. this summer, regular gas is going to be close to $3/ gallon. it's bout time for me to get some damn guns and go fuck up OPEC, cause $3/gallon is fucking rediculous.

HAHA , wow today when i checked it was 2.36 for premium , not sure about my gas millage cause my tripmeter dont work

Try supporting a turbo car, they are octane hungry, the more the better, That and the alcohol that I run with pump gas is a lovely 8 bucks a gallon and I can go through about 2.1 gallons in a week.



I don't complain about gas prices anymore. The race fuel that I have ran a couple of times is 11 bucks a gallon. It is torco 118 octane NOS grade.....
