Just remember, you get what you pay for... there is a reason why a set of coilovers cost $89 just like there is a reason for some coilovers to cost over a $1,000... unfortunately a tight budget makes it more difficult to do things right...I'm not saying you need to spend a thousand dollars on your suspension but I would certainly recommend looking into at least a somewhat decent set of coilovers and not some 89 dollar set on ebay... I first did my suspension with a cheaper coilover and am now doing it over with a good setup (tein ss), trust me save your money up and just get a good setup the first time so you're not having to do it a second time... not to say the cheaper setup won't work or anything because it will, however you'll be sacrificing ride quality and handling...just my two cents.

i agree. you have a good looking car even if its stock. so save up your money and wait for a good deal but make sure what ever you buy its good stuff.

get JIC, tein, zeal or tanabe! those are what my friends and i use, and no complaints so far.

ok well i read that lowering your car will make handling, acceleration, and braking a lot better, and i guess i will save up and get a good suspension but for now would it be a good idea to cut the stock springs a little? like maybe .5-1"? or jus keep it the way it is and work on the engine first

i dont really know about cutting the springs. i wouldnt do it i have heard its not good for the car, but like i said i dont really have any thing to rely on.

lol of course i'm guessin these aren't that great too but i was jus lookin at these cause i saw it on the top of the forum another $89 set of coilovers but are made by a popular japanese company, don't mean to bug, but worth it? http://216.242.145.9//shop//product.phtml?p=9

I did not read all of the above posts, but DO NOT cut your stock springs unless you know what your doing & have done it before. If you mess up your buying new springs any way, so why not just do it right the first time? If your on a budget I would highly recommend waiting until you can afford a quality setup(springs/struts, Coilover sleeves/struts, or True coilovers) your looking minimum of $400-$500 just in parts. You still need to figure in misc. parts, install labor, & alignment.

Don't be cheap or you will regret it. Suspension is NOT cheap & PRICE DOES REFLECT QUALITY!!!!!!

get some Skunk2 lowering springs and some KYB GR-2 shocks. rides almost as nice as stock and handles very well.

pretty inexpensive setup too, name brand quality parts too.

don't quote on me these prices but ballpark coilovers will cost ya around 250 for the skunk I believe and the struts will prolly run ya around 300 for all 4... not sure on the exact prices but I'm pretty sure these are in general price range.
