hey at least you didnt under tightened it and have the belt come loose when the engine was running and bend the valves, like i did.

I dont think you have to buy a whole new block there had to be a way to fix it. but I'm not to sure...

The bolt is broken off in the block? Sounds like an easy fix with an easy out.

can you not replace the tensioner? what about drilling a short hole in the stuck bolt, screwing a screw in and threading it out? you might have to use a reverse thread screw

IMO this is the easiest way to do it.

Yeah it should be a straight foward repair, check the helms book and see what it says, but I dont recomend that you weld that back on there because I dont think it will be as strong. You risk really damaging your motor if it breaks while driving!!!

sorry i didnt check this i've been really busy turns out i cracked the peice off my block like its not as simple as it sounds im a pedestrain for now though because i gotta take the motor out and we're going to try and repair the block where it broke off if it doesnt help and we cant get it to stick then i'll put everything together in my other block but thats a hell of a lot of work for something so stupid
