First off I'm new to the site so I'd like say hello and I come unfortunatley bearing a small problem already.....

I see this topic has been covered on similar cases but I need to know if the remote needs to be reprogrammed. The problem is when the doors are locked with the remote, they lock but the alarm won't go off if someone manually opens the door. Also the panic button does trigger the alarm and lights. Any help would be great, and when doing the programming of the remote, is the button supposed to be held down while puting key in the ignition?? could someone clarify? thanks again

does the alarm not sound at all when the door is opened? or does it not sound when the lock is pulled.

i know with my 94 it will only sound when the door is physically opened. if you just pull the lock up nothing happens.

and here is the way i reprogrammed my remote. its a few threads down. here is the link
