I think I'm buying an Rx8. I'd like to know all the problems there are with it first before I make a final decision. Help would be appreciated, Thanks.

The only common problem I think you're going to find is the tires are not good in snow.

You have to go thru the forum to find all the complaints but keep in mind a forum is to discuss problems, you may only see problems there. The good stuff will present itself in person.

Here's what I found from the forums.

HP is actually lower than Mazda stated.

Coolant overflows (I'm assuming only one person had that problem, and that was because of a lemon?)

Uses oil approximately every thousand miles. Non-synthetic

Sucks in winter driving.

?what is a lemon and the lemon law?

HP went from 250 to 238. I have not seen any oil use at 1200 miles. I'll post when I finally do.

I've found that a lot of people have been experiencing flooding due to a lack of warming up before driving. Also turning off the engine when it is cold is not good either apparently.

I'm still a newb and I've just got my license, so I don't really know a lot of things yet. So, I was wondering if pressing on the gas while still in neutral would make it any faster. or, if that would damage the car.

And does warming up only apply to when your in cold weather.

Having the car in neutral and revving up, then letting out the clutch in a gear is horrible for the car. You'll be goin in for maintenance soon if you have a habit like that heh.

If you start it, back out of the garrage and shut it off it will be hard to start the next time. The few times I've had to do that I just reved to 3000 for a few seconds and shut it off, no problems.

The rotary engine MUST NOT shut off before warming 2 minutes, especialy in a cold weather!
The problem you have, is because the spurk plungs make humid from the temperature difference. In some cases, the problem is biger and the spurk plungs make short sircuit. In this case, you must replace them whith new.
