Turbo Port

I was wondering what type of port would be good for a turbo II. Is bridge port too much for stock turbo? i'm not sure if the intake needs any kind of restriction or not, that's just things i've heard. thanks for the help.

The best would be a street port. There is no point to a bridgeport because your turbo wont be able to keep up.

yea street port will give you pretty decent power anyways, and doesn't sacrifice as much gas mileage or flat idling as a bridgeport, somewhere I heard a large street port gives like 15-20% increase in power... anyone know if thats true?

Ok, awesome. Yeah, i remember reading something about that, but I wasn't completely sure. So a turbo would need a little more vaccum to spool faster right? (this is just to help me understand what works well and how it works, and why it works)

Although a street-port does help, to be honest with you, a Turbo Rotary that is street driven really doesn't need a port at all.. just optimize the pressure-charging. better IC, C02 Spray, better piping etc etc.

I wouldn't go yanking our your engine that still runs fine to port and rebuild.

Any kind of bridgeporting, even a lightly done half-bridgeport on the secondaries is considerably too much for the stock turbocharger. Something along the lines of two stock turbos would be more desirable for a bridgeport setup of any kind. I do these kinds of setups for 400+rwhp FC's fairly regularly nowadays and all I've seen from any bridgeporting is the drastic change in power band and need for a substantially larger turbo.

For anything daily driven, I recommend a street port. The term, however, is very ambiguous as not all "street ports" are the same. By as many people there are performing this kind of work and porting labour, there's just that many opinions and porting styles on it. The idea behind it, however, should be to reduce the pressure drops found in the transitioning of the port tunnel to the port outlet of all four intake ports as well as reducing the boundary of each. In short, fix the problems with the cast stuff and help keep the intake charge velocity as high as possible.
