Hey, I'm looking for a specs sheet on the stock EG6 Si fuel pump. Its gotta be the specs for the Si from what I can tell because honda put a "better" one in the Si than any of the other cars. So anyone got some links or specs they can throw my way? I'm trying to build for boost and gotta check that I'm not gonna be burning that baby out. I'll have an AEM 1:1 FPR and all, just wanna be in the know.

How much boost are you looking to boost? What fuel management system are you going to use. It's more or less recommend that you get a Walbro 255 lph fuel pump if you are going to boost.

I'm going to be running 10psi with an AEM 1:1 FPR and DSM injectors off the bat, if that'll be ok. Plan was to do that and baby the car and then get a VAFC and dynotune it. That is, if that set-up would be safe

It'll work for a while. I don't like those VAFC hacks and all of those other shortcut ways of adding the extra fuel that's needed. Since you are going to get DSM injectors, you might as well get a Hondata S200b and the Civic/CRX resistor box and have that dyno tuned. It'll be a lot more reliable and efficient than just increasing fuel pressure and using the VAFC hack.

Any particular complaint with the VAFC or just that they work off a piggy-back system? As for the S200, yea that was in my future plans, that or an AEM EMS (if I _really_ get into this car thing). I just didn't want to shell out for an s200 with boost and the other options I'd like. The VAFC is just less that $200 so it fits better with my college-student budget I'm on.

More or less it's the tuning. VAFC only has 16 points of tuning where as the Hondata has like 600 some points I believe. It's a much more effecient way to control your fuel delivery. VAFC and even FMUs like the Vortech one are fine for low boost applications. Just don't plan on using them in the long run once you plan on making some real power.
