Cable Shifter Linkage

Has anyone ever had problem with their 6 or 5 speed manual tranny shifter linkage? Im sure they are very similar, I have a second gen 6 speed, the linkage is off, cant shift into gears, ive tried adjusting it under the boot, can only get it to shift into some gears, but not all, adjust it differently, loose the gears i had, and gain some new ones, still need all the gears. I checked to see if the cable was obstructed on the transmission, its not. Any ideas or suggestions? Or is this a job for mitsubishi or a tranny shop? BTW, on my last post, Tranny help! lol, the car worked beautifully for about a day and a half untill the shifter linkage went out, hahaha, I got to see how quick the car is even wth my granny shifting on the new clutch, which has incredible grab by the way. I highly recomend the XTD heavy duty clutch kit, with super beefy pressure plate and 6 puck copper ceramic clutch plate, with racing throwout bearings, 600 hp and 2900ftlbs handling capacity. The car, which is slowly becomming a car and will soon be reliable, once we get all the wore out abused parts that the previous owner decimated fixed. Looking for suggestions? Thanks for your time and ideas. Please post.
