if you can avoid not getting the non turbo i would suggest buying a turbo car. it is way too much trouble and money to convert it to a turbo.

Possible is not the same as recommended.

It is possible to put a Cadillac Norstar V8 into and MR2.... that doesn't mean it is reccomended :)

Unless you want to tackle a large project that will never be as solid as a factory built Turbo MR2, then just buy a turbo MR2.

Remember guys that if you buy a factory turbocharged car, all the details are addressed. if you do a swap, well its ametuer, no matter how good the shop that does it is. The original turbo cars were once warrantied :)

these guys know better than I do I was just letting you know it has been done and is possible and my 5s is either getting turboed or a 3s swap but if I had it to do again I would have waited and got a turbo to begin with but I looked for 2 years and couldn't find a decent one that wasn't completely trashed or hadn't been heavily modified ... word pf advice NEVER buy someone else's project u don't know how well the mods were done I learned that the hard way with what ended up a show winning 74 beetle $15K later(and I did 90% of the work)!!!
