I think it should be the same from 2001 onwards. I dont thinik anything else was changed that much except for the face lift of the headlights and the tail lights. everything is basically the same.

As for after market accessories, there should be more coming out soon. Give it a little more time. 7th generation civics is kinda new to the market and not much available aftermarket accessories are available, but there are a few out there.

Well aside from looking deep into what they have changed, I can tell you that if you go to order pullies for the 02 the ones made for a 01 will not fit on the alternator. They changed from a 3 ribbed pully on the 01 to the 02 being a 5 ribbed belt. I learned that the hard way .

DX and LX should be the same, only difference as far as I know is the power everything the LX has. But for the EX, engine is different of course, SOHC VTEC. But besides that, everything should be more or less the same.

Good thing about 7th gens is that you could fit a K20 in there easily. Just $600 motor mounts from Hasport is all you need (well ,that was the price when I inquired in a local tuner shop near our area). No other modifications are needed according to the shop I asked.

the civic i got was the Value Package, it was the only one they had, i wanted the ex but there was none. i am not sure if it means it is called a vp or what. still new to this body style so i don't know alot. but thanks for the information, and i know there is not alot for it, believe me i have looked long and hard while at school. anyway anymore information will be gladly exepted. thanks

Value Package I think is a DX which has some of the features of an LX. Like A/C and a Radio. Its something like the "in-betweens" of the DX and LX.

yea, i got power steering, a/c, and a cd player. wow. so i guess that is cool, the only thing i don't like its the brown interior parts like the dash and the tops of the door panals.

i got black interior so easier for me to paint the interior and have it match the stock paint

wish i had the black interior, that would look so much better. o well guess you get what you get, mabey i will trade it in on an si in about 10 months, that would be so cool.

yea...although my interior really sucks right now..heres what it lookes like now with me playing around with it a little.. http://images.cardomain.com/member_images/12/web/348000-348999/348542_8.jpg imma be changing it though..thinking about changing the black to match the silver outside of the car.. and doing a little more of the blue highlights...

03-19-2004, 10:40 AM
cool dude, i think that would be cool to match the interior to the body, so you going to use the stock body color?

03-19-2004, 06:26 PM
yea..gonna paint the black area to be siler like outside... plus gonna add a bit more blue here and there.. gonna make some custom pods on the left column and center area for a total of six guages

88dxhatchslammed
03-22-2004, 09:34 AM
that will be cool with those gauges and all of the other stuff. what gauges will you be using?

xproductionz
03-22-2004, 12:49 PM
going with autometer cobalt guages...there black with white letters/numbers and glow blue at night.. the left tripods gonna have air/fuel, boost, and not to sure on the third yet.. maybe oil temp or fuel pressure.. then on the center dash there is also gonna be 3 more guages.. same type cobalt guages but now i am gonna have a digital amplifier ammeter, digital volt, and digital amplifier temperature meter
