Funny Story

I just got my 97 RS a few weeks ago and i also just got my license 3 days ago. After work me and my friend with a 95 Trans Am were messing around in the parking lot and we got pulled over. 3 DAYS after i got my license. I pulled a complete 360 only to turn around and find 2 cops sitting across the street.

only had your liscense for three days..... This story is the reason why younger people have the sky high insurance rates that we do, Oh well, it fun to do. Just be more carefull as to where you chose to mess around :sunglasse

Meh, its happened twice to me before. I did burnouts not knowing cops were just around the corner waitnig for someone like me..... luckily i sweettalked my way uot of both situations... in fact I've talked my way out of something like 10 tickets so far for all sors of different violations :evillol: Till this day I remain ticket free :iceslolan

Yea i didnt get a ticket because it was on private property in the parking lot where i work but they did call my parents and my dad was PISSED

lol i love it where i live. we do insurance based on how safe of a driver you are. for every year you get a 1% off bonus. up to 7%. so my car is hte same price for me to licence as it is for say someone who is 40.

plus its only $60 a month for full coverage (you have to have full). and everyone has to use the same provincial company.

ill bet at most companys in teh states, insurance would be double that for me.

no our cops suck going 1 mph over speed limit is a warning going 2 is a ticket no exceptions. Even if u know the guy beleive me i know one and still didn't get out of a ticket got arrested too on my b-day.

damn where do you live z28 boy? in Maryland where i live they wont even pull you over unless your going about 10 mph over...but apparently they'll pull you over for doing donuts in an empty parking lot?

I know the feeling I can't go more than 4 miles from my house without getting pulled over and I'm not talking about 15 - 20 Over I'm talking like 5 Mph. I know so many cops in this area and they'll pull over there mother to meet there quota and I don't need a cop coming on and telling me there's no such thing as a quota , I know they have a little pool for the most ticket's

I live in Deaf Smith County. My town is called Hereford. Its in TX about 45 miles south west of Amarillo. They are not even that bad in amarillo and its a major city. yeah so now i am on probation for 9 months. Probation has nothing to do with driving tho.

I did a drive through Texas on a cross country East coast to West coast Trip and I'm glad I didn't pass your cops cause on I-10 (the part that say's your being monitored by radar -Airforce) and I was doing a good 130 MPH but the road was wide open for 200 + Miles and nothing on either side

I am north of I-10. WE got the Z28 state troopers too. I asked one to race me cause my aunt used to baby sit him. He said that i don't stand a chance.

Yeah those things are bad A$$, He would have gotten me though , I wasn't driving my Formula , I was in my 98 2.8 Z3 so I would have been in hand cuffs within 20 Seconds, Although on all my long distance trip's I never leave home without the Radar Detector

you guys are unlucky that the cops in the U.S. are such hard a$$es coz of quotas. In Australia and also here in the Emirates the cops don't haev quotas which is probably why I never got a ticket yet....... oh wait, I have received 1 ticket that i can recall, but I talked to his superior officer the net day and got out of it :p I guess it depends on the cops.

Man I dunno how you can fit in one of those z3's. I went for a test drive with a friend that wanted to buy one and my knees were hitting the dashboard. It was only a 2 seater convertible too but damn that car was so tight on the inside. They look allright though provided you can fit in it :p

Thats funny my Z3 fools people all the time I have a friend that's 6'4 and he fits fine in the passenger side but I don't let him try out the driver side which is a little smaller but I'm 6' or a little taller and I fit fine

yeah i got a loud music ticket last year. What the hell is that about. I guess when they are desperate to meet the quota they will stop u for anything.

Yeah most of them are looking to look good to there superior's but some are cool, Not around here but a couple of my friends who are cops in Long Island and NYC , pull people over all the time tell them they like there car and let them go. One of my friends even raced a 3000GT with his Cop car

I almost got arrested and my car impoounded here in san diego, dont let cops catch you, they have a 0 tolerance law here, they take your vcar away for good, luckly the cop wasnt a dick and let me and my bud (the other car) off :sunglasse
