Hello, I have a jdm 3sgte all trac motor that i am swapping into my all trac,is there any problems i will have once I have the motor in? I've noticed a difference in the head set - up ( the EGR port ) In which would change the throttle body set - up I'm not really concerned about that because it's only the gas recirculation. But what I am really concerned about is if the JDM 3S - GTE motor will work with the existing wire harness and the ECU? Is this a direct bolt in or not? What else is different about these motors? Would I have to use the existing head and the existing throttle body and the EGRs? I also have a Toyota MR2 3S-GTE, would the tranny from the US celica work with my MR2? I know the Celica tranny has the all wheel drive, but is it possible to remove that? I know this is a lot of questions, but you seem to know what you're talking about. Thanks! I appreciate your help a lot.

i know the tranny from the mr2 works in the celica, so i would assume it is compatible the other way as well, but the celica transmission has a much more conservative gearing than the mr2 tranny. you can disable the awd by putting a cap over the output shaft that goes to the rear wheels, but you will lose a lot of power with that output just spinning, so if you have 2WD, use a 2WD tranny, it just works better

couldnt you weld up the front diff? but then youd have double the power the rear diff was meant to take tho...
