Well friday night me and a friend rode out to shackleford to see if there were any races or people showin off car well it turned out to be both about 20-30 cars at one time. Well we were there about 30 minutes and everyone started to leave I was like well I better go to so I took off down the road and 2 cops passed me and I was like wow great timing and I went about 55 more yards and the cops had blocked the road off and caught ever one b/c theres only 2 ways in and out and the blocked both. Some people were getting tickets and one guy got towed and luckly a new officer rolled up and started talking to people in this huge line of cars lined up and half of them had been racing there was a cop in front of me issuing a ticket to everyone and this new cop came up and taslked to me for a little bit and eventually was like this is your one and only warning now get out of here. Needless to say I was about to crap myself. Scary crap

I hear you there. Me and 4 other people went to this place close, it was around 4pm. Just having a little fun, nothing else to do. Plus my friend wanted to race a 90 civic so we had about 6 or 8 races. Then took off a little bit after we got there, at this time it was around 5ish. As we were leaving we saw a cop coming we think no big deal he didn't see anything so we think nothings going to happen. Then the cops trun around not thinking about it. He turns his lights on, me being the last person out i was like oh shit. then he passes me and goes to the front pulls all of us over we were fucked. He took are licence and asked if we had insurance. then told us all of to get out and he lecture us about getting killed, killing the people around us, and killing farmers kids. then just told us to leave. I would go into detail but mind is a little fuzy about all that he said. But i feel you man scaried shitless.
Plus two of are friends didn't have insurance. One 16 years old couple 17 and a couple 18. The 16 year old his parents were told. And one of the 18 year old parents were called. Nothing really came of it but just fucked. Because next time caught for something like this jail i go and others that are 18 plus the car getting towed. Just a warning to everyone that street races don't do it unless you want or know what will come of it if you are caught. Most times cops won't care if its your first time.

If you had been in CA, your car would have been towed and impounded PERMENANTLY, no questions asked. You'd also get a $1000 fine as well at the least! Consider you're self very lucky. I'd consider that a wakeup call to not be part of that kind of mess. Large street race crowds are a magnet for cops, and pretty pointless and stupid if you ask me. :2cents:

i totally agree about the whole group gathering thing. cops have nothing better to do then to look for punks, no offense, like that. also, any "set" race i think is sorta dumb, unless it's at a track.
this is my 200 post!!!

yeah where ive been going about every saturday, theres a bunch of guys (maybe a bit over 50 total) show up and leave to go race in big groups...just fuggin a rediculous idea considering its not 'cops out looking for punks' its cops attempting to make the streets drivable. im not against street racing at all if it can be done discretely and safely. the whole not getting caught part of it adds an element of thrill, but only if you can do it with others in mind...now if youre rolling out to street race 15-20 deep, theres a logistics problem. the police arent out to pick up punks then, theyre just out to restore some shred of driveability to the streets...
drive safe guys, roll with common sense...

my buddies and i had a close call one nite, there was like 20 of us in a parking lot in our town, and we were all just chillin and checkin out each others rides. well 2 genuisses decided that they would race...right in front of us. well to make a long story short, they lined up and took off and then we heard the dreaded siren and saw the lights. we were all about to get tickets, for watching the street racing when we convinced the cops that we had no idea who these guys were. we ended up not getting tickets for watching the race, but for loitering.ain't that a bitch!? (the 2 guys racing got there cars towed and a ticket for a few $100)i guess in the end, gettin a ticket for loitering was alot less harsh!

Keep of the streets. Its not worth it getting caught in the streets. Better take it to the track. Its better paying coulpe of dollars getting in the track and getting a few good runs with time slips than doing it on the streets and getting a ticket, getting your car towed resulting in higher insurance rates.

Sorry to say, but this story is case and point why street racing is dumb and pointless. When you get caught doing it, you get what you deserve out of it, you can't blame anyone but yourself. Sure not all places have an accessable track, but gathering up several dozen cars to do runs on the street is just asking for trouble.

Better than my case, just 5miles above limit and got a ticket, while not racing... And I was crying so bad since got stopped and the officer is just like a pervert to smile at me while I was crying. Can he just let a little teenage(Well, late teenage girl) like me to have a verbal warning...

Hi my name's Brian and I'm a speedaholic. I've had 13 speeding tickets, about to lose my license for the 3rd time, and I still get together Saturday nights to go off racing. It's what I do and I don't care about the consequences. Unlike other people though, I never race through even light traffic. Can shit still happen? Yeah... but oh well. Think I spent all this time/money on my car to go the speed limit?

Thats harsh, Ive been pulled over for doing the speed limit, because I was an 19 year old guy driving a fixed up car. Anyways where I live, there not allowed to block the roads off like that, and even if they did there are too many backroads and stuff, it would take the police force to block it off.
