Hello everyone, I really need some advice or help. I have an 01 GT with 81,000 miles. At 50,000 miles I had to replace a front left and a rear right wheel hub assembly cause the bearings were out. Now I have a vibration again and I checked them yesterday and I found out that I have 3 wheel bearings loose! I was wondering if this is common or do I just have one with a problem? Any advice or help would be great. Thank you.

Well, I have read many threads here and this is the first time that I see anything like this. Has your car ever been involved in an accident?
Looks like the camber/caster is puting unnecesary pressure on your bearings.

I have a 97 GP w/ 149K miles. Right front began making a "waump waump waump" sound after a tire rotation. Tire folks did everything known to mankind that can possibly be done - with tires and wheels. Even 3 of them went for a ride listening. That weekend I replaced the bearing assembly, and no more problem. Seems like almost 150K I shouldn't complain though.

kilroypr and smoovrider, I would bet alot of money that that vibration or noise is in your wheel bearing assembly. I had it once before and replaced the two, and now both front are going out and the same rear one as before. I just replaced them with used ones, got me by for another 30,000 miles but seem to need to do it again. I cant afford new ones, a front assembly is close to $1200 and a rear is almost $800!! So I think for now Ill go with some used ones again unless some of you have any advice or direction for me to go to get new ones at a lower cost. Im getting married on the 20th, so finances are tight. Thanks for the reply and the advice guys! We sure love our GP's dont we!!

I don't know were you got your prices but even a brand new dealer hub and bearing is at the most 400 dolars. If you look online you can find a GM made bearing for 300 dollars a piece.
Look here for GM parts (http://newgmparts.com/) This site will even send out directions with the parts.

shit where do you live ill put one in for 200. I got one wheel bearing (both new) for 186.00 guy ripped me off i was 7 states away he knew i need it(azz hole) but i just got another one 3 weeks ago for 105.95 +tax. Well tell you this, used wheelbearing dont last long half the time... my brother for example, 3 used wheelbearing 2 hummed and the 3rd he had for about 7000 miles till it hummed. he got a new-new one, then after that he no more problems. Like what Kilroypr asked... that might be a problem... but just buy new and you mostlikely will not have anymore problems.
