I ran OBD and code P0171 history came up. Can anyone tell me where I can download a diagram of the transmission or tell me where it the Input Speed Sensor is located and what it would take to replace it?
Thanks,

Input speed sensor is internal in the transaxle. Transaxle would have to come apart.

I am getting the same code on my 95 STS and it does shift too soon when I move away from a stop.
If it's internal wouldn't it be protected from most causes of failure....therefore is it possible that wiring could be the cause.
Like before I spent a pile to pull the trany.

It could be the wiring but however I've seen several of these sensors fail.

It seems that my input speed sensor has failed also. A part that cost $45 and the dealership said it will cost about $1200 to be put in. What prices have you guys paid?
